On Our Way
Met up at San Fran to catch our flight to Chengdu, China. Glad the day has finally arrived! To think just 6 weeks ago Julie was on crutches from a class-2 calf tear....we are grateful for the body’s ability to heal! The anxiety has been real. We boarded our 14.5-hour United flight and honestly just excited to be on our way, Ready or not, we are coming! Feeling relatively ok as we arrived in Chengdu, a first time in China for each of us. Quite funny really. Our phones would not connect to the internet, regardless of a WiFi connection, possibly due to a restricted Chinese policy? Therefore, as we headed to the ATM to withdraw some money for a taxi into the city (location of our hotel), we had no clue as to what we were withdrawing. Interesting how difficult it is to navigate a new city with no language understanding.
